**Technical Datasheet: Alloy S (UNS N06635) Sheet**
**Overview**
Alloy S Sheet, commercially known as Hastelloy® S Sheet and standardized as UNS N06635, is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum wrought superalloy supplied in thin sheet form, specifically engineered for applications requiring exceptional oxidation resistance, thermal stability, and fabricability in high-temperature environments. This product form is particularly valuable for manufacturing components where weight savings, complex forming, and superior surface finish are critical requirements at temperatures up to 1200°C (2200°F).
**Key Characteristics of Alloy S Sheet**
* **Excellent High-Temperature Performance**: Maintains mechanical integrity and resists deformation under sustained thermal exposure
* **Superior Oxidation Resistance**: Lanthanum-enhanced oxide scale provides exceptional spallation resistance during repeated thermal cycling
* **Outstanding Thermal Stability**: Optimized chemistry prevents embrittlement and maintains ductility after prolonged high-temperature service
* **Excellent Fabricability**: Can be readily deep drawn, stamped, and formed into complex shapes using standard techniques
* **Good Weldability**: Compatible with common welding processes without significant loss of corrosion resistance
